DOCK COMPANION
==============

A tiny pixel friend that lives on your Mac's Dock.

INSTALL (first time only)
1. Drag "Dock Companion.app" into your Applications folder.
2. Open it. macOS says it can't verify the developer. That's expected,
because the app comes straight from the website instead of the App Store.
   Click "Done".
3. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down and click
   "Open Anyway". Confirm.
4. Done! A caramel pup shows up on your Dock.

MAKE IT YOURS
Make your character at dockcompanion.co and click "Install on Mac".
Or choose "Copy character code" there, then click the little head in your
menu bar and pick "Paste Character Code".

NO "OPEN ANYWAY" BUTTON?
Files received through messaging apps (like WhatsApp) get an extra lock.
Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities), paste this and press Return:

   xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Dock Companion.app"

TIPS
- The little head in your menu bar has everything: tricks, size, hide, quit.
- Turn on "Open at Login" so your companion shows up every time.
- Turn on "Use Exact Dock Position" so it walks right up to the edges.
- Click it, or hover over it while it's standing around.
- Mornings make it energetic. Nights make it sleepy.
